Nithya passed away on 22-Sep-2010 at ~ 2PM IST. May god bless her soul to rest in peace.

She got a 9/10 matched donor from an international marrow registry, but her health condition, worsened day by day, didn't favor the stem cell transplantation. Doctors gave up on treating her by 15-Sep-2010, and declared her Leukemia 'incurable'. All her treatments were stopped by 20-Sep-2010, allowing her to sleep peacefully.
